What does "aaS" mean in common parlance?

Abbreviation for 'As a Service'

It means that a third party provides cloud computing services!

What's the difference?

Different infrastructure, platforms, and software are provided as a service. → Different management level

1. IaaS

• Evolved from on-premises infrastructure

• Infrastructure services delivered to the cloud

• Provider is responsible for the management and access to network, servers, virtualization, and storage

• Examples include AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

2. PaaS

• Broader scope of responsibility than IaaS

• Allows users to develop, run, and manage their own applications

• Provides an environment for build and deployment

3. SaaS

• All applications are managed by the provider

• Provider manages all maintenance, upgrades, and security of the software
